Ministry and Leadership Experience
I have more than two decades of experience spanning pastoral ministry, executive leadership, Christian education, nonprofit development, strategic planning, teaching, and organizational leadership.
My leadership experience has included responsibility for:
As a senior pastor and organizational leader, I managed multimillion-dollar operating budgets. I led significant financial turnaround efforts, capital renovation projects, and major facility initiatives—consistently delivering with strong fiscal discipline and, in more than one case, completing projects under budget. I also led strategic property transactions that strengthened organizational asset value.
These experiences taught me that ministry leadership requires more than preaching.
Healthy ministries require healthy systems, responsible stewardship, clear vision, strong governance, capable leaders, measurable objectives, and organizational accountability.
Christian Education
Christian education has been a consistent thread throughout my career.
I helped found Logos Christian School in Plano, Texas, where my work included organizational development, policy development, operational planning, technology, budgeting, staffing, compliance preparation, marketing strategy, and leadership recruitment.
During the school’s development, initiatives contributed to significant growth in marketing reach, enrollment, and community engagement.
I have also served in higher education, including work with Moody Bible Institute, where I helped develop extension education opportunities in Houston and Dallas and served as an adjunct instructor.
My educational philosophy integrates:
Biblical truth + academic excellence + discipleship + critical thinking + leadership development.
Teaching Internationally
My commitment to Christian and higher education has recently extended internationally. I currently develop and teach graduate-level faculty courses delivered live via Zoom to educators in Pakistan, including:
- Assessment and Evaluation — a 3-credit-hour course equipping faculty to align assessments with program learning outcomes and to design valid rubrics, exams, and project-based assessments.
- Educational Leadership & Management / Guidance and Counseling — a 3-credit-hour course covering leadership theory, strategic planning, communication, and the principles and ethics of student guidance and counseling.
This work reflects a broader conviction I hold: that sound educational practice and healthy institutional leadership are exportable disciplines, and that investing in the people who train the next generation of teachers is one of the highest-leverage forms of educational impact.
Reborn International
Earlier in my career, I founded and directed Reborn International in Houston.
Through that work, we developed after-school and youth programs that served more than 500 students and worked with multiple school districts to strengthen students, families, and communities.
That experience helped establish something I still believe today:
Transformation happens when education, mentorship, community, faith, and opportunity intersect.
3 One Consulting
Today, I am the Founder and Lead Consultant of 3 One Consulting.
3 One works primarily with churches, nonprofits, Christian organizations, educational institutions, and mission-driven leaders. It is my day-to-day business, and I believe God has called me to this season—helping ministries, churches, and nonprofits grow and thrive.
Our work includes:
We function as a true consulting partner: we prepare the strategies, deliverables, and communications that organizational leadership needs, from formation paperwork for a brand-new nonprofit to full board-ready strategic and development plans for an established ministry.
My consulting philosophy is straightforward:
Vision must become strategy, strategy must become execution, and execution must produce measurable results.
The Entrust Network
I have also been involved in developing The Entrust Network, a Christian nonprofit focused on mentorship, discipleship, and developing men and young men. I currently serve as its Director of Development.
The vision is centered on intentional relationships that help men grow spiritually, relationally, personally, and as leaders.
This reflects an increasing priority in my life: helping men understand that biblical manhood is not primarily about position or power — it is about character, responsibility, service, faithfulness, and stewardship.
Teaching & Biblical Studies
Teaching Scripture remains central to my calling.
Areas of particular interest include:
One principle summarizes much of my approach to biblical interpretation:
Scriptura Scripturam Interpretatur — Scripture interprets Scripture.
The Bible should not primarily be interpreted according to modern preferences or isolated personal experiences. We seek first to understand what the biblical author intended to communicate within the historical, literary, theological, and canonical context of Scripture.
The author’s intent informs the reader’s response.
And ultimately, Scripture tells one great story:
God’s redemptive work fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
